Family Trip- Its that time AGAIN

So its that time again, where my mother tries to plan another family trip. Yippie!

 Which is all good.

It's just there are alot of people to plan around. So she pulls together all kinds of ideas and locations to go for this "family" get together time.

If you've been around awhile you know last year we went to Omaha. (This is also when the sportsman discovered I was cheating on him) The trip over all was good. The ride home was NOT.

So today we were all together for the sportsmans birthday (Yay, sportsman) and my mom whips out her "list" of possibles.

Let me remind you that no matter where we go, we have my sister and her 6 year old, my son (16) my daughter (21) and her boyfriend (22) and my mother that go on these fantastic "family" trips. and of course the sportsman and I.

and this is quite the unique group we got here.
My dauthers boyfriend acts just like the 6 year old.(Which can be entertaining for a short bit) My mother is obsessive compulsive. The sportsman is a tight wade.

You get the gest.

So here we are going over the list today of possble places.

This time we decided since its so late in the year, we have to make it several fairly close locations. Due to the up coming school soccer season.

So first on the list is a water park. I'm down with that. Love the sun.
Second on the list, zoo. I'm cool with this one too. Again love the sun and exercise.
Thrid possble train ride somewhere. Sounds interesting.

Fourth is camping.
Let me just say my first thought is
T I C K S.
Then sleeping on the ground, then being cold, then bugs in general.
Ok mostly TICKS.
Holy shit can you say TICKS!
I freakin hate them. They truly cause me to have anxiety issues.
What the fuck. Funny thing is growing up my family camped all over the united states.

and I was fine with it. or was I?


Was it cause I was a kid then and ultimately did not have a choice? Not sure. All I know is that I am not down with the whole camping thing.

We even took a vote on who wanted to do what.
Right away the sportsman spoke up. He knows that I am not cool with the tick thing.

Also if you remember from a way long ago post, where the soccerboy went to the lake with his dad and came back with dear ticks all over him.  I can seriously do without that kinda shit.  Talk about traumatizing.


and also my body can not freakin handle the cold tempreature aspect either. You all know that. So one would think that my own family would freakin get that. Right?

Then I got the evil stare from my mother. Like I'm trying to be a pain in the ass. Honestly I'm not trying to be.
So now If I make a big deal about n o t wanting to go camping everyones gonna be pissed at me.

DO you know what you have to do to get a tick off you? DO you know that ticks carry lime disease?
DO you need to see a nasty pic of what lime disease looks like? It's really gross.

Just writing about it now totally freakin stresses me out. I'm not over reacting. Everyone has things that freak them out.
I know family trips are important. and I do love going on them.

There are just some things I can NOT do. Strike that, not willing to do is more like it.

Does that make me a difficult person? I always claim to be a free and easy spirit. A super simple person.



Does this make me sound like I'm high maintenance?


Cause I'm soooooo NOT. I swear.
So what should I do?
 Any suggestions.
and don't tell me to coat
my body with freakin DEET.
