Alex and I were lucky enough to be asked (i.e., invited ourselves over) to Abbey and Tim's apartment for dinner on Saturday. Their house was ridiculously gorgeous (after taking covert notes, Alex and I now want a blue sofa, flower paintings, an oversized lamp and a mid century dining room table), and the dinner they made was absolutely delicious. We had multiple helpings of wild mushroom mac n' cheese and a chocolate pear tart. Abbey's tips are to substitute sea salt, canned pears and raw almonds. Yum. I'm hungry again just thinking about it.
