The reigning coach of the year will get a contract extension. Doc Rivers will make 5.5 million a year with playoff incentives up to 7 million a year. Considering the Celtics are playoff bound barring catastrophe, that puts Doc as one of the highest paid coaches in the league. Im all for the extension, but it seems like a few of those million might have been better spent on James Posey before he bounced to New Orleans.
