Ready, Set, Go!

This might be the most random post ever on Cup of Jo, but the photos keep making me laugh, so I figured I'd share them. When we went to Los Angeles for the holidays, Alex and I raced on the beach. Alex used to be a sprinter in school, so he was really intense! I couldn't stop laughing, which, a hem, slowed me down.

Alex says, "I had thought I could run backwards and beat you, since you have a cross-country runner's body, but then you were surprisingly fast, so I had to turn on the jets.
