I am a big fan of Edison light bulbs, through which you can see the filaments. They look great and cast a really nice, clean light. Design firm AvroKO must think so, too, since they've scattered the bulbs all over their clients' restaurants; witness E.U., Public, Stanton Social and the recently opened Quality Meats (shown above).
And now the company Habitat is taking it up a notch by offering these love and flower bulbs. It would be cool to display them on a base without a shade; or to cover them with a shade, so someone would get an unexpected design element if they ever peeked in, or to make a chandelier of the flower bulbs, like an upside-down bouquet.

(By the way, photographer Noah Kalina has an impressive archive of NYC restaurant interiors that are addictive to flip through.)Source URL: http://ledger-heath.blogspot.com/2007/03/love-bulbs.html
