The Boston Globe is reporting that Posey's decision will be made in the next 48 hours. His agent gave no details whatsoever about where Posey is leaning, and that's usually a bad sign. I can't really back that up, especially because Agent Zero was pretty dicey all the way up to the final moments before re-signing with the Wizards... but it doesn't give me a good feeling. The Celtics' drafting of Bill Walker appears to be insurance just in case Posey doesn't come back... and with all the cash spent on the Big Three the Celts are forced to throw nickles around like manhole covers for the rest of the squad.
However, Posey seemed to be very happy not only with the Celtics organization (he CHOSE to come here a year ago with other offers on the table, remember), but with the way that the Celtics utilized him on the floor.... which was as a long-range gunner and defensive stopper in crunch time. I have to think that he felt appreciated by the team.
