Globe Poll Confirms Celtics Made Wrong Decision

I DON'T LIKE THIS THROWBACK TO THE DAYS WHEN EVERY CELTICS FAN THOUGHT THEY COULD DO A BETTER JOB THAN DOC AND DANNY... AND THEY WERE RIGHT

The Globe released a reader survey today asking who the Celtics should have cut to trim the roster down to 15 players. Here is the result:

    Survey result

With Miles gone, the Celtics do not need so make any more roster cuts before the season begins (though they still could). Here are the final results of our nonscientific poll, which asked readers to choose who they would cut from the roster (1,939 votes):

    Sam Cassell -- 39.7 percent
    Brian Scalabrine -- 31.7 percent
    Darius Miles -- 9.6 percent
    Patrick O'Bryant -- 5.3 percent
    Gabe Pruitt -- 4.5 percent
    J.R. Giddens -- 3 percent
    Glen Davis -- 1.1 percent

The sampling error is 1.1 percent, according to me, because I can't believe anyone would want to cut Big Baby. That's just insane. Maybe the Globe should have put "Big Baby Davis" as an option instead of "Glen Davis," because the casual fan might not recognize that name. (This is also probably why Gabe Pruitt got some votes- he's a second year player people!!) Regardless, the voice of the people is clear- we would rather have players at the end of the bench with potential than a late 30's ballhog who can't guard anybody.Source URL: http://ledger-heath.blogspot.com/2008/10/globe-poll-confirms-celtics-made-wrong.html
