Keon Clarke Post Inexplicably Still Drawing Comments

Over a year ago, we commented on Keon Clark's troubles with the law. We just got a comment on that post today, for some reason, and since I doubt anyone reads our posts about Keon Clarke from a year ago, I am posting it here:

I've know Keon all my life. I was in Vegas when he played out here and as everybody knows, he loves weed. But does that make him a bad person? Hell no. I remember sitting with him at the Palms Hotel Casino and him telling me he needs help. He was trying to call John Lucas( Former NBA player who has a treatment facility that he helps players get help) and couldn't get an answer. We went out to eat the next day and Keon came and picked me and my daughter up and he drove to the restraunt. Not for 1 second did I hesitate for him to drive, I know for a fact he wouldn't put my daughter in harm's way, by being drunk, or high. When we got to the restraunt, he was playing with my daughter and making faces and just acting like a kid with her. That was 4 years ago and my daughter still asks when is Keon coming back. I know Keon has made some dumb mistakes, but not one person on her probably has had a close friend or family member play any professional sport and would understand all the " hanger on's" and how they just hang around for the money, woman, drinks or whatever. Also, what about the stress of all your family trying to get you to pay for everything, i need help with the house, i need a new car, i need this, that and the other. The average person won't understand this, because we don't have the money like he has. As we all can see, drugs ruined this man. Keon never had a record, until he started making all this money. I got Keon a job at Little Caesars when he was in High School and he was just a kid being a kid. Couldn't wait to get his paycheck and probably spend it as fast as he got it cashed. Keon is e VERY VERY VERY good person, he just needs help with this addiction he has with the drugs and alcohol.

I'll say this about Keon, he seems to be universally well-liked by those who know him, and there are clearly people out there that care about him deeply (that guy also has a fan page for Hans Blix, go figure). We hope that he can get his life back on track. He did not live up to the hype. He has made some incredibly stupid mistakes... but hell, if Acie Earl, Joe Forte and Jerome Moiso can have international careers, why not Keon?Source URL: http://ledger-heath.blogspot.com/2008/10/keon-clarke-post-inexplicably-still.html
