If tonight's game was any indication of how AI will mesh in the motor city, than it should be a rocky year. Chauncy Billups was the glue that held Rasheed Wallace from killing people. He was the guy who got Rip Hamilton open looks. He was the guy who got Flip Saunders from getting fired for two years. Now he's gone and the guy who took his place is not known for chemistry. By know its clear that the Pistons are just clearing cap for the LeBron sweepstakes, but if tonight was any indication, it could be a rocky year for the once mighty Pistons.
The Celtics on the other hand looked silky smooth. Pierce picked up 3 fouls in 3 seconds and was saddled to the bench for most of the first half. The Celtics however did not miss a beat. Tony Allen stepped in seamlessly and tore the PIstons apart on both ends of the floor. He was running the break, making steals, and slashing to the basket. He stole the show with 23 points and confirmed talk that despite losing Posey, the Celtics have the best bench in the league.
