Paul Pierce 1, Raptors 0

The Celtics looked terrible for 3 quarters. It looked like the Indiana game all over again. Then two things happened in the fourth quarter that changed this game. Perk blocked the balls out of Jermaine O'Neal and Pierce caught fire. Pierce was unbelievable. It didn't help that the Raptors had Jason Kapono guarding him, but it really didn't matter at that point. Paul scored as many points as the entire Raptors team in the 4th (22 of them).

While this game was not pretty, I chalk the Celtics lackluster play up to the fact that they hadn't seen Jermaine O'Neal put forth effort since 2003. Once they realized what was happening, Pierce took care of business. Funny that 5 years ago, O'Neal was probably considered the better all-around player. Now he's considered the better Rasho Nesterovic. Don't let the haircut fool you. He's the same old injury-faking, chemistry-killing J.O. he was last year.Source URL: http://ledger-heath.blogspot.com/2008/11/paul-pierce-1-raptors-0.html
