Logic, Reason, and KG Suspended

    Via the Herald:

Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has been suspended one game without pay by the league for his role in Saturday night’s scuffle with the Bucks in Milwaukee.

Garnett struck Bucks center Andrew Bogut in the face with 3:58 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Celtics’ 102-97 win at the Bradley Center.

The suspension was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations.

In addition, Bogut’s foul that was committed on Garnett has been upgraded to a Flagrant Foul Penalty One.

Garnett will serve his suspension tomorrow when the Celtics host the New York Knicks at TD Banknorth Garden.

Of course, we shouldn't be surprised. KG has had an amazing, Hall of Fame career, but his career as an NBA brawler is among the most embarrassing in league history. First of all, he always gets in fight with randos not even close to his level, and yet he always makes an ass out of himself. From getting elbowed in the face by Anthony Peeler to humping Matt Bonner, it has been less than inspiring. Suggestion for KG- tell Perk to fight for you, that will give him something to do other than get torched on the block by the Orca known as Nene.

Similarly, we can always count on the NBA to make the wrong decision in matters of... everything. Thanks for drawing more attention to our star player's love for fighting like a kindergartner over a pack of Shark Bites, Stu Jackson.Source URL: http://ledger-heath.blogspot.com/2008/11/logic-reason-and-kg-suspended.html
