PIERCE WONDERS IF OFFSEASON SPENT BARELY AVOIDING DUI'S COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER SPENT; PERKINS BEING SOUNDLY OUTPLAYED BY RASHO FRIKKIN' NESTEROVICH METAPHOR FOR WHOLE TEAM'S PERFORMANCE
Remember that time that Danny Granger was slipping in the draft for no explicable reason, and it looked as though the Celtics would get him? Then the stupid Pacers nabbed him one pick ahead of us and we got the mercurial slam dunk champion instead? I do, every time we play the damn Pacers, but last year it wasn't so bad because the Pacers were garbage. This year may be different, because the Pacers are a good team despite starting RASHO. Actually, I would have liked to have RASHO on the Celtics right now because at least RASHO can score more than zero points in twenty minutes, unlike Perkins.
But, let's not pick on Perk, because there wasn't a single Celtic that bested 50% from the floor and the team only shot 60% from the damn free throw line. (Rondo went 0-3.) No biggie though, performances like this will happen when all the starters spend the offseason doing talk shows and recording commentary tracks for championship DVDs. I just hope the Celtics have a couple more terrible games early on to clear their heads. I also hope that the Celtics are working around the clock to find a possible replacement at starting center...
