Often Mistaken For: Afrobeat legend Tony Allen
Also Mistaken For: The guy that says, "If you've seen the leperchaun say 'heeey'!" in this video-

Favorite Trash Talk Phrase: "I'm Full of That"
    What that means: No Idea
Cities he dislikes visiting: Salt Lake City, Milwaukee, Portland, OR.
Known Nationwide for: Leading OK State to the Final Four, smashing a dude's eyesocket in a bar fight (allegedly), destroying his knee going up for a meaningless dunk after the whistle
What was going through his mind when he blew out his knee: "I always look at the scoreboard when I'm in the huddle, and I already had 19 points, like 6 rebounds and 4 steals. We was down like 13 and then cut the lead down to about 4 or something. I knew I was about to get like 30 points and try to get us a win, and it was just F'd up."

Season Preview: Tony is going to have to move along slowly. In a reasonably dickish yet underscrutinized move, Danny Ainge chose not to pick up his option the other day. The Celtics are worried about his knee, but all indications are that his knee is coming along well. ACL and MCL tears are nothing like they used to be- people bounce back from them all the time. Before he went down last year, he was the best player on the C's not named Paul or Al, but the Celtics disrespected him a bit by signing James "I'm Ok to Drive" Posey. Tony is going to have to work hard to ensure that he has a place in the C's rotation, which is wack because he has to do that every single f*cking year even though he's proven himself every time. Tony will get some minutes at the point guard position, where he was a LOT better than even the most optimistic Celtics fans expected, which will be good to get him on the floor. However, we here at I*Heart*Celtics hope that he also starts digging into Posey's minutes, too. While we might be scared of Tony in person, we heart him from afar.Source URL: http://ledger-heath.blogspot.com/2007/11/player-preview-tony-allen.html
